The origin of all life

  • The universe came into being with the explosion known as the "Big Bang". From this majestic sound came the fundamental elements of creation. First came SPACE, which formed the vast universe in which everything exists. Then the AIR materialized, allowing movement and the breath of life, and began to spin faster and faster. Heat soon followed, igniting the flames of FIRE and symbolizing vitality and transformation. The intense heat fused the elements and brought forth the WATER, the very essence of life. Finally, from the combination of water and other elements, EARTH emerged as a stable foundation for all living beings. These 5 elements - space, air, fire, water and earth - permeate everything, including our bodies.

In this cosmic dance, the universe mirrors our bodies and vice versa. A harmonious interplay of the macro and micro worlds. By harmonizing ourselves with these elemental forces, we discover well-being and a deep connection to the cosmos.

  • Room

    Shapes our energy body.

  • Air

    Nourishes breath and movement.

  • Fire

    Processed and digested.

  • Water

    Transports nutrients and cleans.

  • Earth

Provides us with structure: bones, joints, muscles, skin.

Discover your inner nature...

  • Each of us is a unique combination of these five elements. This combination is called Prakriti, which means the nature, the state we are born with. However, during our lives we can deviate from our true nature and fall into a state called Vrikriti. This is when we feel unbalanced and unwell. Ayurveda helps you find the path to your Prakriti by finding out which elements are dominant in your nature and determine your Dosha.

How does Ayurveda help you find this? "Ayur" means life and "Veda" means wisdom. The wisdom of life involves a continuous curiosity about life. One way to gain this knowledge is to observe yourself and life. But there are also tools you can use, like our Ayurvedic test.

The 3 doshas

  • Vata Dosha stands for air and space, regulates movement and communication, promotes creativity, lightness, restlessness and dryness in the body.

  • Pita dosha combines fire and water, influences digestion, temperature regulation and intellect. People with Pitta are often determined, ambitious and sensitive to heat.

  • Kapha dosha combines earth and water, promotes endurance, calmness and moisture. Kapha types are stable, loving, persistent and tend to gain weight.

What are the doshas?

A dosha is a natural constitution that influences your body and mind. Literally translated, dosha means "fault" or "that which causes problems". There are three main dosha from which we can derive seven to ten body-mind types.
Ayurveda comes from "Ayur" meaning life and "Veda" meaning wisdom: the wisdom of life involves continuous observation and curiosity about life. One tip for gaining this wisdom is to find the right tools. Our Ayurvedic Dosha test is a perfect magnifying glass for your self-observation.

Balancing these elements through a suitable diet and lifestyle or with Ayurvedic therapies helps to maintain health and harmony in the body and prevent illness.
